Overnight Oats - Three Delicious Ways


Simply delicious breakfast and healthy too! No sweat and ready anytime you need it in the morning! You can create any flavor you like according to your taste and creativity. A small jar is filling enough and ensures low calorie intake... I took it every other day and in one week I lost 1 kg weight easily! In this posting, I made three different flavors and they are all awesome!


Carrot and Walnut topping

BASE RECIPE FOR ONE SERVING
1/3 cup Rolled Oats
1 tbsp Chia Seeds
1/4 cup Milk
1/4 cup Greek Yoghurt (I tried other yoghurt and not as nice as Greek Yoghurt)

METHOD:
1. Place above ingredients in a jar in the order of the list.
2. Place chosen topping on top and cover jar with lid.
3. Chill the jar in fridge overnight and ready anytime in the morning.

A. CARROT TOPPING:
Place in order: 1 tbsp maple syrup / honey, cinnamon powder, shredded carrot, walnuts /other nuts

B. BLUEBERRIES TOPPING:
Place in order: 1 tbsp blueberry jam, fresh/dried blueberries, walnuts / other nuts.

C. STRAWBERRIES TOPPING:
Place in order: 1 tbsp honey, 2 tbsp chocolate ganache, fresh strawberries, 1/2 tsp cocoa powder, walnuts / other nuts.

BAHASA MALAYSIA VERSION
 Sarapan yang sebegini tak berapa sinonim dengan selera orang Melayu Malaysia sebab tekak kita kan lebih gemarkan yang pedas2 dan kalau sarapan mesti kena penuh sepinggan baru kenyang.... (ini Along lah yang camni.... heheeee.... tapi rasa nya ramai yang cam Along gak kan....). Tapi kan... bila Along cuba resepi ni.... bukan Along jer yang kata sedap.... hubby & anak2 pun suka. Along ada juga buat untuk tetamu yang bertandang dari Miri dan mereka semua pun kata sedap.

 Walaupun nampak sedikit tapi perut rasa penuh dan kenyang, tak makan yang lain pun ok. Yang best nya, bila tengahari dapatlah makan tepat waktu tanpa lengahkan.... selalu tu sengaja lewat2kan lunch atau skip terus sebab masih kenyang. Along buat ni selang-sehari selama seminggu dan dapat lihat hasil nya... berat badan turun sekilo dan perut pun kempis slim....heheee.

 Along buat tiga perisa kali ni.... ada gak Along dah cuba perisa lain tapi takda lak amik gambo.... nanti lenkali bila ada mood nak snap gambo lagi leh lah tunjuk k.

Nak kasi tips:
1. Guna yoghurt Greek sahaja... kalau guna yg lain rasa nya amat kurang sedap (Along dah test). Yoghurt Greek ni tekstur nya lebih pekat dan rasa cam cheesecake pun ada dan amat kena dengan gabungan oats.
2. Guna rolled oats atau porridge oat... jangan ganti dengan instant oat sebab nanti rasa nya lembik... tu yang buat tak lalu nak makan oat tu nanti... Tengok gambo oat yg Along sudukan tu... masih berekeping2 cantik tapi lembut.

RESIPI ASAS UNTUK SATU BOTOL/SEORANG:
1/3 cwn Rolled Oats
1 sb Chia Seeds
1/4 cwn Susu
1/4 cwn Greek Yoghurt (jangan tukar yoghurt lain nanti tak sama rasa nya)
 
CARA2:
1. Masukkan bahan2 ke dalam bekas kaca mengikut aturan senarai di atas.
2. Masukkan topping kegemaran anda (lihat tiga cadangan di bawah).
3. Tutup bekas kaca dan simpan semalaman di dalam petisejuk.
4. Sedia untuk di nikmati pada waktu pagi nya
 
A. TOPPING KAROT:
Letak mengikut aturan: 1 sb maple syrup / madu, serbuk kayu manis, karot sagat, kekacang walnut.
 
B. TOPPING BLUEBERRIES:
Letak mengikut aturan: 1 sb jem blueberi, buah blueberi segar/kering, kekacang walnuts.
 
C. TOPPING STRAWBERRIES:
Letak mengikut aturan: 1sb madu, 2 sb coklat ganache, buah strawberries, 1/2 st serbuk koko, kekacang  walnuts.

Kek Lapis Sisik Ikan (Scale Layered Cake) Again


I made this cake for the joined Idh celebration, organized by the Muslim committee in our apartment, which was on the very last day of Syawal. It was well received by the KL community as layered cake like this is rarely served in the Peninsular. Some people were asking if I can take orders but unfortunately not at the moment.

This is one of my favourite layered cakes and posted many times earlier on. For readers' convenience I've pasted the recipe here again.

Size: 8" square
INGREDIENTS:
10 Egg yolk*
2 Egg white*
250g Castor Sugar*
1 tbsp Ovalette*
75ml chilled Water*
3/4 can Serikaya* (1 can is 300g)
160g Horlicks*
250g Hong Kong Flour
300g Butter
4 tbs Condensed Milk
4 packet of Haw Flakes (size of 50 cents coin)
 
METHOD:
1. Place all ingredients marked* in a mixer bowl & beat with high speed until fluffy & thick. 
(Tips: The bowl need to be big enough to handle the volume which get doubled up)
Fold in flour gradually until well mixed.
2. In a separate bowl, beat butter & condensed milk until white & fluffy.
Combine into the earlier mixture.
3. Spread 6 tbsp into lined/greased tin & grill until the top is evenly brown.
Take the tin out from oven and press surface with cake presser to ensure even layer.
Repeat for three layers and insert the hawflakes in rows at 45 degrees angle .
Repeat the above process until all batter is used up.
4. Cool cake before slicing.
 
 I sliced my cake while it was still warm and it cracks slightly at the top.... I just couldn't resist the hot cake slices..... LOL....hahahaaa.... am breaking the rule!

  Ini entri terlewat.... Along buat untuk rumah terbuka yang di anjurkan oleh AJK kondo kita orang kat sini pada hari terakhir Syawal. Sambutan kek2 lapis yang Along hidangkan sangat menggalakkan dan habis licin dan Kek Lapis Sisik Ikan ni ramai yang minat rasa nya.... alhamdulillah.

BAHAN2:
10 bj Kuning Telur*
2 bj Putih Telur*
250g Gula Kastor*
1 sb Ovalette*
75ml Air Ais*

4 bungkus Asam Haw Flakes (saiz 50sen)
 
CARA2:
1. Pukul bahan2 bertanda* dgn kelajuan tinggi sehingga kembang 2x ganda & pekat.
Masukkan tepung & adun rata.
2. Dalam mangkuk yg berasingan, pukul butter & susu pekat sehingga kembang.
Campurkan kedua2 adunan sehingga sebati.
3. Ratakan 6 sb adunan ke dlm tin yg dilapik & di gris.
Grill sehingga keperangan & tekan lapisan supaya rata.
Ulangi bakar selapis-selapis dan cucukkan asam dgn sudut serong setiap tiga lapisan.
Buat sehingga habis adunan.
 


Sejukkan kek sebelum di hiris.... Along tak sabar nak tunggu sejuk sebab Along memang suka makan kek yang panas2 keluar oven.... tengoklah gambar yang kedua tu merekah atas nya dek sebab ketidak-sabaran.... heheeee tapi syok dapat makan yang panas tu....

Asam yang Along beli kali ni agak tebal dari yang selalu.... kalau boleh cari yang nipis sebab agak mencabar nak mencucuk nya.... cara2 nak cucuk boleh rujuk kat sini ya.

Baked Lemon Salmon

 I was so successful with the recent Baked Lemon Shrimps which whole family enjoyed so much and therefore the boys suggested I do the same recipe with Salmon. Their food imagination is great as lemon ad salmon matched and blended very well.... it turned out so delicious!

Serves: 4 persons 
INGREDIENTS:
1 medium whole Salmon - slash the skin as shown in photo about 1cm deep
100g Butter
1 Lemon - sliced 
Seasonings - garlic salt, pepper, dried corriander, chili flakes
Vegetables - Tomato, Cauliflowers, Carrots

 METHOD:
1. Rub salmon with the seasonings.
2. Spread butter evenly in a casserole and arrange lemon slices on top.
Place salmon and vegetables on top of the sliced lemon and sprinkle more herbs.
Spread dollop of butter on the fish.
3. Bake 180C for 20 minutes or until done, do not overcook so that fish remains juicy.
4. Serve with white/butter rice or potato.

Hari tu Along ada kongsikan resepi Baked Lemon Shrimps kan.... hubby dan anak2 kata sedap.... My boys siap kasi idea suruh masak camtu juga tapi guna ikan salmon.... hmmmmm.... pandai gak budak2 ni kalau pasal nak makan sedap....heheee. Tapi memang betul lah.... sedap sesangat.... we all puas-hati dinner malam tu....

Hidangan: 4 orang
BAHAN2:
1 ekor Ikan Salmon sederhana besar - kelar2
100g Butter
1 bj Lemon - hiris2
Perasa - garlic salt, serbuk lada hitam, dried corriander, chili flakes
Sayuran - Cauliflower, Tomato, Karot

 CARA2:
1. Lumur ikan dengan bahan2 perasa sehingga rata.
2. Sapu butter di dasar casserole dan aturkan hirisan limau.
Letak ikan dan sayuran di atas hirisan limau.
Tabur lagi bahan2 perasa dan tabor ketulan butter atas ikan.
3. Bakar 180C selama 20 minit sehingga masak. Jangan terlebih masak supaya isi ikan tidak terlalu kering.
4. Hidangkan dgn nasi putih/butter atau kentang.

Sarawak Peppermint Layered Cake (Kek Lapis Peppermint) - Again

During festive period when making many layered cakes, surely there was leftover egg whites which I happily turned them into this delicious cake! Some people commented that it is like eating tooth paste (minus the cake) but for many they love the peppermint flavor....


The recipe has been shared earlier but reposting here for readers' convenience. I added chopped cranberries this time and very nice.

Size: 8" square
INGREDIENTS:
500g Butter
5 tbsp Ideal Milk
1 tbsp Ovalette
200g Hongkong Flour
2 tbsp Peppermint Essence
20 Egg Whites / 600g
200g Sugar
Purple Colour
Chopped Dried Cranberries 

METHOD:
1. Beat butter, milk & ovalette until fluffy.
Add in flour gradually until well mixed.
Add in peppermint essence.
2. Beat egg whites until foamy.
Add in sugar gradually until stiff.
Mix into butter mixture.
3. Reserve some plain batter for top and bottom layers (see the photos).
Color the rest of the batter with purple color.
4.Spread 6 tbsp of plain batter into a lined & greased tin and grill until light brownish on the surface.
Repeat layering for three layers of plain color, purple then lastly three layers of plain batter.
Sprinkle chopped cranberries alternate layers.
 

BAHASA MALAYSIA VERSION
Kek Lapis Peppermint kesukaan anak2 Along.... rasa nya memang lah berangin dan ada yang kata cam rasa ubat gigi.... hahahaaa... tapi tak lah kuat sangat rasa berangin tu, letak sikit untuk flavor jer. Along suka buat kek ni untuk menghabiskan lebihan telur putih selepas buat kek lapis yg guna telur kuning sahaja. Kek ni tak boleh bakar lama sangat sebab nanti tekstur nya kering tapi jika betul cara bakar nya tekstur nya lembab dan lembut. Setelah banyak kali buat ni barulah kek yang Along buat bertambah baik hasil nya.... trial and error baru tau sendiri. Kali ni Along kasi sukatan telur putih dalam gram sebab kalau tak tepat tekstur kek berubah, so Along sukat supaya hasil nya konsisten setiap kali.

Kali ni Along tambahkan cranberries kering.... sedap sangat!

Pewarna Ungu
Cranberries kering - cincang 

CARA2:
1. Pukul mentega, susu & ovalette sehingga kembang.
Masukkan tepung sedikit2 sambil dikacau rata.
Masukkan esen peppermint.
2. Pukul putih telur sehingga kembang.
Masukkan gula sedikit2 sehingga adunan bertanduk.
Campurkan ke dlm adunan mentega sehingga sebati.
3. Ketepikan adunan untuk lapisan atas dan bawah; warnakan selebihnya dgn warna ungu.
Ratakan 6 sb adunan tak berwarna ke dlm tin yg di lapik & di minyakkan.
Bakar dgn api grill sehingga perang.
Ulangi melapis sehingga habis dengan turutan warna: 3 lapis plain, ungu, 3 lapis plain seperti gambar.
Tabur cranberries selang lapisan.

Premix Orange Poppy Seed Muffins

 I have tested many Orange Poppy Seed Muffins and although I have found a couple of very good recipes, I cannot help myself for trying something else. This time I wanted to play with the premix flour out of curiosity... Premix flour is multiple times more expensive than the ordinary plain flour but since the bakery shop is offering 30% off from normal price and therefore selling only RM9.90 instead of RM14.90 (still expensive compared to my ordinary flour of RM2.20/kg), I wanted to test it out to discover what the extra price is offering.....

I then created the Orange Poppy Seed Muffins recipe from the Muffin Vanilla Mix below.... outcome was good with moist and fluffy muffins. So here is my verdict.... based on the price I don't think you get anything 'extra' or special from this premix flour... I still need to add most of the basic ingredients to it like eggs and  fats.... the premix is basically flour plus sugar, raising agents and vanilla flavor with perhaps extra quality in the texture....?? Not sure what is the secret that I paid for but perhaps it is a sure success...? In short I like the outcome but am still complaining the price that I paid for..... Anyway, here I'm sharing the recipe in case some of you interested to try the premix flour.

Yields about 30 muffins x 1.5" cups
INGREDIENTS:
333g Muffin Vanilla Mix
2 Eggs (grade A) 
1 Orange - grate rind and squeeze juice about 100ml 
90g Melted Butter / Oil
1 tbsp Blue Poppy Seeds

METHOD:
1. Mix all ingredients, minus poppy seeds and mix briefly using hand-held electric mixer just until they are combined (I did not beat long until 2 mins as per instruction).
Mix in poppy seeds and fold with spatula.
2. Pour into cups, 2/3rd full.
3. Bake at 180C for 15 minutes.


BAHASA MALAYSIA VERSION
 Along buat muffin ni untuk my sister's open house baru ni.... Sister Along ni suka sangat makan Orange Poppy Seed Muffins ni dari dulu2 lagi. Semenjak Along pindah KL ni dah berapa kali dok buat untuk dia. Kali ni saja gatal nak cuba resipi lain macam pulak.... waktu gi jalan kat baking shop ternampak pulak tepung premix ni.... kedai tu lelong turun harga RM9.90 dari harga asal RM14.90 sebab expiry date dah dekat... masih mahal kan sebab tepung gandum biasa cuma RM2.20 sekilo. Tapi sebabkan perasaan 'curious' nak tau camna istimewa nya tepung premix ni, Along pun beli lah sebungkus dan modify jadi Orange Poppy Seed Muffins.

Nak tau camna jadi nya.... haaaa tengoklah gambo tu.... naik kembung2 gebu dan moist... memang sedap... cuma bila terkenang harga tepung tu kalau RM14.90 sekilo rasa nya tak berbaloi ler kan.... tapi mungkin tepung premix ni sure jadi ke apa ke tu tak tau lah ya. 

Kalau kot2 ada yg teringin nak cuba, ni Along kongsikan resepi nya yang Along hentam2 jer pun jadi gak.... hehee

1 by Buah Oren - parut kulit luar dan perah jus ~100ml 
90g Mentega Cair atau Minyak
1 sb Biji Poppy

CARA2:
1. Campurkan kesemua bahan2, kecuali biji poppy, dgn mixer sehingga sebati sahaja - tak payah kacau lama.
Masukkan biji poppy dan gaul sebati.
2. Tuangkan ke dlm cawan sehingga 2/3 penuh.
3. Bakar 180C selama 15 minit atau sehingga masak.

Chocolate Cupcakes (Again)

 Chocolate cupcakes are easy to 'sell' out to kids and even adults love them too.... make them in petit cups and put a little bit of decorations for extra attractions! These cupcakes were the first one to clear when served in the recent occasion.

Although my previous post on this was in 2009, I actually made them many times in between. The recipe is simple but produced moist and tasty cupcakes - they are great for gifts or party occasions.

Yields: 50+ pcs 1.5" cups
INGREDIENT A:
2 cup Flour1¼ cup Cocoa Powder
2 tsp BP

2 tsp Bic Soda
3 tsp Nescafe
(optional) 

1/8 tsp Salt
INGREDIENT B:
2 cup Castor Sugar
1 cup Oil
1 cup Evaporated Milk (I used fresh milk)
3 Eggs
INGREDIENT C:
3/4 cup Hot Water


METHOD:
1. Mix all ingredient A.
2. In a separate bowl, mix all ingredient B.
Mix B into A.
Add in C.
Place into cups 3/4 full.
3. Bake 20 min at 170C.
4. Cool before decorating.
5. Pipe melted plain and white chocolate on top.



BAHASA MALAYSIA VERSION
Resepi ni dah Along simpan dan berkali2 buat sebab puas-hati sedap dan moist. Dulu dah share resipi tahun 2009, waktu tu gambo comot2 jer sebab baru lagi dalam alam blogging dan pakai kamera pun tak reti. Kali ni Along kongsikan lagi sekali resepi nya dan letak dalam BM pula.

Cupcakes ni Along buat baru2 ni untuk hidangan rumah terbuka my sister.... memang laku sangat sebab buat comel2 jer.

5. Paipkan coklat hitam/putih yg di cairkan.

Assorted Muffins for Idh Open House

 My sister requested me to help making assorted muffins for her last Idh open house.... so here what I came out with. The response was good and 150 muffins were served and cleared. Check out the link below and/or watch out for next entries for the recipes.

BAHASA MALAYSIA VERSION
Buat ni untuk kasi kat my sister semperna rumah terbuka dia.... Along kasi dia 50biji setiap jenis... so 150 biji bersaiz comel.... orang sekarang ni kalau buat besor2 takut nak makan.... ramai yg health conscious nak diet....heheee. Alhamdulillah, sambutan baik dan licin gak lah. Buat lebih sedikit untuk anak2 kat rumah.... Liana paling suka muffin coklat.


1. Chocolate Cupcakes 
 Yang ini yang paling laris dan habis dulu.... Budak2 dan mak bapak budak pun suka.... Along deco dengan white and dark chocolate. Resepi dah share dulu kat blog ni di sini, nanti Along share versi BM in next entri pula nanti ya.


2. Orange Poppy Seeds Muffins
 My sister sangat suka muffin ni dari dulu2 lagi.... so semesti nya ini salah satu pilihan menu. Along rekakan resepi nya menggunakan tepung premix muffin, lembut dan moist. Resepi nya akan di kongsikan entri akan datang ya.... watch out.

Baked Lemon Shrimps (Udang Lemon Bakar)

 Super easy and quick and of course super delicious too....! Had the idea from shared video in facebook but I ended up doing it my way.... I prefer to keep the shells on as that gives extra sweet flavor to the shrimps. I seasoned it with my favourite herbs but followed the idea of baking the prawns on lemon slices! It produces delicious lemon sauce once done.... all it takes is only 15 minutes in the oven! Try it yourselves....

I didn't weigh the shrimps when I made it.... so use your own judgement.

Serves: 2-3 persons 
INGREDIENTS:
Shrimps - cut a slit at the back of each shrimp 
100g Butter
1 Lemon - sliced 
Seasonings - garlic salt, pepper, dried corriander, chili flakes

METHOD:
1. Mix shrimps with the seasonings.
2. Spread butter evenly in a casserole. 
Arrange lemon slices on top, followed by shrimps.
3. Bake 180C for 15 minutes.
4. Serve with white/butter rice.

 Sekali-sekala kena cari idea baru.... nak yang senang2 tapi sedap.... ok, meh cuba resepi yg amat mudah.... kalau mood malas pun boleh buat dan dapat makan sedap....hahaaa. My hubby and sons semua kata sedap, so kira pass lah kan. Sos dia sedap.... masam2 lemak memang kena dengan udang.... Buat sikit testing jer ni... lepas ni kena buat lebih sebab syok ratah2....

Udang tu agak2 jerlah banyak mana nak letak ok.

BAHAN2:
Udang - belah belakang, nak buang kulit pun boleh
100g Butter
1 bj Lemon - hiris2
Perasa - garlic salt, serbuk lada hitam, dried corriander, chili flakes

CARA2:
1. Gaulkan udang dengan bahan2 perasa sehingga rata.
2. Sapu butter di dasar casserole.
Aturkan hirisan limau, di ikuti dgn udang.
3. Bakar 180C selama 15 minit sehingga udang masak.
4. Hidangkan dgn nasi putih/butter.

Cucur Cakar Keledek & Jagung (Sweet Potato Fritters) Again

 I enjoyed eating the fritters dipped in chili sauce.... I made it again but this time I used purple sweet potatoes and added some sweet corns.... it was definitely more delicious! Look at the photo below.... it has all the goodies in it and less flour, I love it very much but may not be suitable for those who hate vegetables!

INGREDIENTS:
2 medium size Purple Sweet Potatoes (can be substituted with white/orange SP) 
1 Red Chili
1 Big Onion
1 bunch Chives
1 ear of Corn - remove kernels from the cob
Chinese Celery & Spring Onions - chopped 
2 Eggs
~1 scoop Flour
Salt

METHOD:
1. Peel & slice the sweet potatoes. Cut into a matchstick shape.
Slice chili, onion, chives.
2. Mix all ingredients in a bowl.
3. Heat up oil for deep frying and scoop batter into it.
Fry until crispy.
4. Serve with chili sauce.

 Buat lagi kuih cucur keledek yang sedap ni.... kali ni Along guna keledek ungu dan masukkan jagung juga..... walaaa memang sedap sangat pada tekak sendiri.... cicah dgn sos cili yg sedap.... tak sedor abis semangkuk cucur....heheee

2 bj Keledek Ungu (keledek putih/oren pun ok) - hiris/sagat bentuk btg mancis 
1 bj Cili Merah*
1 bj Bwg Besar*
Sedikit Kucai*
Daun Bwg/Sup* (* hiris) 
1 btg Jagung - hiris biji jagungnya
2 bj Telur
~1 senduk Tepung Gandum
Garam

CARA2:
1. Gaul kesemua bahan2 sehingga sebati.
2. Sudukan ke dlm minyak panas dan goreng sehingga garing.
3. Hidangkan dgn cili sos.

Pie Tee

 I made this specially for Marhabban late night supper recently. It is light and therefore suitable for snacks and fun munching at late night mingling.... Some of the guests were so delighted to see it and a big portion of it cleared that night! Nice to see new acquaintances helped themselves with it without much persuasion...

The recipe is courtesy of my sister's MIL. I tried it last week during her Idh open house and I love the simple vegetable filling and that gave me the idea for my Marhabban  menu.

The last time I used my pie tie mold was about 15 years ago.... hahaaa.... luckily I didn't lose it during the house move.... so glad managed to put it into use again.

Yields ~72 pieces
INGREDIENTS:
1 cup Rice Flour
½ cup Flour
1 Egg
1 cup Water
¼ tsp Lime Water

METHOD:
1. Mix well all ingredients and sieve.
2. Heat oil for deep frying and heat up the pie tee mold in it.
Dip the mold in batter until well coated and quickly.
Lift out the pastry from the mold as soon as it is firm up and fry until golden color.
3. Keep in air tight container until needed.
4. Serve with vegetable filling and chili sauce soon before serving.


PIE TIE FILLING:
Carrot and Turnip - shred finely
Fried Bean Curd - slice into tiny cubes
Dried Shrimps - blend and pan roasted

- Mix and serve into pie tee shells with chili sauce

BAHASA MALAYSIA VERSION
 Nak buat kulit Pie Tee ni perlukan kesabaran.... Along rasa senang lagi buat kek lapis kot, takdalah lenguh kaki tangan camni. Tapi sebab dah nekad nak buat ni untuk menu marhabban, kita pun rajinkan diri.... Along rasa berbaloi juga lah buat dia sebab kuih ni memang laku bila di hidangkan. Kuih ni ringan jadi orang pun tak takut nak makan banyak, lagi pun memang mengasyikkan tak sedor lima ketoi dah Along telan sekali hadap..... heheheee....

Resipi ni  Along dapat dari MIL sister Along sewaktu rumah terbuka minggu lepas. Syok betul makan waktu
tu, terus minta resepi nak buat untuk menu marhabban rumah Along.... waktu tu pula belum ada idea nak buat apa untuk menu. Orang surau dah pesan jangan hidangkan menu berat sebab lawatan pada lewat malam, memang sesuai lah menu Pie Tee ni sebab ia nya cukup ringan dan tidak terlampau mengenyangkan.

Bilangan: ~72 ketul
BAHAN2:
1 cwn Tepung Beras
½ cwn Tepung Gandum
1 bj Telur
1 cwn Air
¼ st Air Kapur

CARA2:
1. Campurkan kesemua bahan2 sehingga sebati (boleh juga guna blender tapi Along gaul dgn whisker jer) dan tapis.
2. Panaskan minyak di dalam periuk kecil atau besen yang dalam.
Rendam acuan Pie Tee di dalam minyak sehingga tembaga nya panas dan celupkan ke dalam bancuhan tepung sehingga menyaluti acuan.
Rendam acuan yg bersalut tepung ke dalam minyak panas dan tanggalkan dengan lidi, kadang2 ia akan tertanggal sendiri. 
Angkat pastri yg telah garing keperangan dan toskan di atas kertas tisu dapur.
3. Simpan di dalam bekas kedap udara sehingga  di perlukan.
4. Hidangkan dengan inti dan sos di dalam bekas yg berasingan.
Isikan isi dan sos apabila di kehendakki supaya kulit pie tee kekal rangup ketika di nikmati.

INTI PIE TIE:
Karot dan Sengkuang - parut halus
Tahu Goreng - potong kecil
Udang Kering - blend dan sangai 
- Gaul dan hidangkan
- Tuang cili sos sewaktu di hidangkan.


Menu Lewat Malam Acara Marhabban

The muslim committee of this condo organised marhabban visit in the last week of Syawal. There were about five houses hosting each night after Isya' and we volunteered one. We had the last turn on last Tuesday night which was about 11pm. It was a late supper so I prepared something very light..... see menu below.

Overall it was a great session and  get-to-know some of the residents whom we never met before. We felt so blessed staying in this new place with some prayers, marhabban, peace and blessings upon our beloved rasullullah s.a.w.

Red Velvet Brownies

 Beautiful red brownies with crusty top and moist chocolatey cake.... just the way I like it.... awesome! I made this a couple of weeks ago to contribute to Idh Open Day at Liana's school.

Recipe retyped and modified slightly
Size: 8½" square
INGREDIENTS:
1 cup All-purpose Flour*
½ tsp Baking Powder*
A pinch of Salt* (* combined)
2 oz Bittersweet Chocolate
- chopped
113g Unsalted Butter
- diced
1¼ cups Castor Sugar
1 tbsp Red Coloring
1
tsp Vanilla Essence
1
tsp Vinegar
2 large Eggs


METHOD:
1. Melt chopped chocolate and butter in microwave and stir to mix.
Add in sugar using a rubber spatula.
Add in red coloring, vanilla essence and vinegar; stir to combine.
Add in eggs one by one while stirring.
Add in flour mixture* and stir until just combined.
2. Pour brownie batter into greased and lined baking pan.
Bake 170C for 35-40 minutes. 
Remove from oven and let cool completely.
3. Brownies will keep up to 3 days in an airtight container.




BAHASA MALAYSIA VERSION
Sekarang ni semua benda ada version red velvet.... termasuklah brownies pun ada. Merah terang amat menarik minat si kecil dan nampak lebih meriah bila di hidangkan di parti.... tapi yang penting rasa coklat dan ciri2 brownies mesti maintain.... Sedap brownies yg Along buat ni... permukaan atas nya berkerak rangup dan di dalam nya amat lembab dan rasa coklat... Along buat ni dua minggu sudah untuk pot luck hari raya di sekolah Liana.

Resipi di ubahsuai sedikit & alih Bahasa Malaysia
Saiz: 8½" persegi x 1" tinggi
BAHAN2:
1 cwn Tepung Gandum*
½ st Baking Powder*
Secubit Garam* (* satukan)
2 oz Bittersweet Chocolate
- cincang
113g Mentega
- potong kecil
1¼ cwn Gula Kastor
1 sb Pewarna Merah
1
st Vanilla Essence
1
st Cuka
2 bj Telur AA


CARA2:
1. Cairkan coklat & mentega dalam microwave dan kacau sebati.
Masukkan gula & gaul dgn spatula.
Masukkan pewarna merah, VE dan cuka; gaul sebati.
Masukkan telur satu-persatu sambil di gaul sebati.
Masukkan campuran tepung* dan gaul sebati.
2. Tuang ke dlm tin yg di lapik kertas dan di minyakkan.
Bakar 170C selama 35-40 minit.
Biarkan sejuk sebelum di potong.
3. Brownies boleh di simpan sehingga 3 hari dalam bekas kedap udara.
