Wild Mushrooms
This is one of my favourite local vegetables. I'm not sure where this type of mushrooms were picked from but sold by the local natives and not available all seasons. I cook it like normal stir fried vegetables.
They are usually available during hot and rainy seasons, like now.
Last time when I was still teaching in a Felda, my students will ajak me go kutip kulat at the oil palm estate. But on the day that we're supposed to go, we heard the thunder roaring..so, tak jadi lor. Sigh, I wished I had a chance to learn from my students how to kutip kulat.

Wendy,
ReplyDeleteThe natives here are very good in looking for kulat. Got to be careful not to collect the poisonous types.
Indah,
Wsalam. Cendawan hutan ni susah nak dapat.
Sue,
Yes, taste sweet and crunchy - it is my favourite. Better than cendawan tiram because it does not have the typical smell.
