Sambal Goreng Jawa

 I tried this dish because I thought it is quite different from what I used to cook/eat. I have not tried the combination of such vegetables in thick sambal sauce. Verdict: so-so & a bit sweet for me but I like the texture of the bean curd after been deep fried & soaked.

INGREDIENTS:
1 packet Tempe* (Fermented Soy Bean Cake) 
1 piece Bean Curd* (skipped) 
1 Potato* (* sliced & deep fried) 
2 sticks Dried Bean Curd - deep fried & soaked 
Glass Noodles - soaked until soften 
1/2 Big Onion + 2 cloves Garlic + 1" Ginger + Ikan Bilis - blend 
4 tbsp Chili Paste (my own addition) 
1/2 cup Tamarind Juice
1/2 cup Sweet Soy Sauce
1/2 cup Chili Sauce
Salt

METHOD:
1. Heat up some oil & deep fry the blended ingredients & chili paste until fragrant.
2. Add in chili sauce, tamarind sauce, soy sauce & salt.
3. Add in little bit of water so that not too dry.
4.Add in the rest of ingredients and cook for a while until well mixed.
5. Serve with white rice.

BAHAN2:
1 keping Tempe*
2 keping Tauhu*
(tak bubuh) 
2 biji Kentang* (* dihiris & digoreng ) 
2 btg Tauhu Kering (digoreng & rendam) 
Sedikit Suun (direndam) 
1/2 biji Bwg Besar + 2 ulas Bwg Putih + Ikan Bilis + 1 inci Halia - kisar
4 sb Cili Mesin (saya tambah)
1/2 cwn Air Asam Jawa
1/2 cwnn Kicap Manis
1/2 cwn Sos Cili
Garam

CARA2:
1. Tumis bahan yg dikisar & cili mesin sehingga wangi.
2. Masukkan sos cili, air asam jawa, kicap & garam.
3. Masukkan sedikit air supaya tidak terlalu pekat.
4. Masukkan kesemua bhn2 lain & masak sebentar sehingga sebati.
5. Hidangkan dgn nasi putih.

  2. nih org jawa datang nih...... nak rasa besan punyer sambal goreng jawa... tak kesah la lain sket yang penting itam! wong jowo sukak ireng2! mangan ne enakkkk... *lianaaaa... p bukak kamus jawa! wakakakakaka... dera besan dan menantu! hihihi
