Nasi Goreng Dabai (Dabai Fried Rice)

 Dabai Fried Rice is very famous in Sarawak because Dabai fruit mostly found in Sarawak but very rare or none in other states of Malaysia. Dabai fruits usually blanched or cooked under sun to be served with rice but added to fried rice is equally good. My whole family is a fan of Dabai and this fried rice definitely delighting everybody.....

Serves 4-5 persons
INGREDIENTS:
5 cups Cooked Rice
1 Big Onion - sliced 
3-4 Green Chilies*
40g Ikan Bilis* (* pounded) 
1 cup Blanched Dabai Flesh
Salt
Chopped Onion Spring & Chinese Celery

METHOD:
1. Mix rice with salt.
2. Heat up 4-5 tbsp oil & stir-fry onion until browned. Dish out.
3. Stir fry pounded ingredients* in the remaining oil until fragrant.
Add in Dabai and stir well.
Add in rice & stir until well mixed.
Lastly add in chopped onion spring & chinese celery & mix well.

BAHASA MALAYSIA VERSION
Buah Dabai adalah makanan kegemaran di Sarawak tapi buah ni bermusim seperti durian. Selain di makan dgn nasi putih, boleh juga di buat nasi goreng yg sememang nya amat popular di sini. Rasa buah Dabai ni lemak2. Anak2 & hubby Along pun suka buat nasi goreng begini.

Hidangan utk 4-5 org
BAHAN2:
5 cwn Nasi
1 bj Bwg Besar - hiris
3-4 bj Cili Hijau*
40g Ikan Bilis* (* tumbuk) 
1 cwn Isi Buah Dabai yg telah di celur
Garam
Daun Bwg & Daun Sup - cincang

METHOD:
1. Gaul nasi dgn garam.
2. Panaskan 4-5 sb minyak & goreng bwg sehingga garing. Angkat.
3. Tumis bhn tumbuk* dgn minyak selebih nya sehingga wangi.
Masukkan dabai & di kacau rata.
Masukkan nasi & gaul rata.
Akhir sekali masukkan daun bwg & sup - gaul rata.
Hidangkan segera.

    rindunya kat nasi goreng dabai.. slalu makan kat kantin skolah masa ngajar kat kuching 3thn lalu.... mmm tp kat smenanjung ada ke?

  6. Aslmkum Along. pertama kali tengok buah dabai ni....boleh masak dgn nasi goreng..hanya ada di Swak.alahai tak dpt rasa.
