I bought some strawberries from Brunei yesterday and this is the first thing crossed my mind in the morning. Finally I got to taste this popular dessert by Yani (MR sifu). Indeed it is delicious & my family said it tastes like ice-cream!
(Makes 6 cups)
INGREDIENTS:
10g Gelatin
100 ml Hot Water
200g Strawberries
70g Sugar
200ml Fresh/Whipping cream (I used Nestle cream)
1 tbsp Lemon juice (skipped)
METHOD:
1. Dissolve gelatin in hot water.
2. Place the rest of ingredients in a blender & process until smooth.
Mix in gelatin & lemon juice.
3. Chill until set.
Decorate with fresh strawberries.

ReplyDeleteHi Roz, is there any difference between cake flour and ready super sponge cake mix flour?
ReplyDeleteIf the recipe calls for cake flour and I don't have it can I use super spong cake mix?

Kak E,
ReplyDeleteSedaplah Kak E kan...
Alice,
I don't think they are the same as the latter is usually used for instant sponge/chiffon cake as it has ready mix ingredients. If you do not have cake flour, just use plain flour altho the texture is a bit heavier but will still turn out alright. HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY to you too (I guess you are a mom).
Hi,
ReplyDeleteWe try out the strawberry mousse today. Is the texture suppose to be like yogurt smoothies? Maybe we did not chill long enough ya.
Anyway, thanks for sharing the recipe.
Hi Babe,
ReplyDeleteMine is not like yoghurt smoothies but softly firm. Make sure your gelatine is properly dissolved.
