I came up with wild idea to convert Buah Melaka into bubur (Malay sweet dessert). The color above is purple due to purple sweet potato.
METHOD:
1. Steam sweet potato until tender.
Place it in a pot of coconut milk.
Add in 1 knotted screwpine leaf, sugar & pinch of salt.
Do not put too much of sugar as Buah Melaka & Sweet Potato are already sweet enough.
Put aside.
2. Prepare Buah Melaka per my earlier recipe here.
Boil & once they float, throw them into the pot of coconut milk above.
Boil the santan & ready to serve.
