Buah Melaka is also called Ondeh-Ondeh in some places. It has melted palm sugar in the centre. This is very easy to make and accurate measurement is not necessary. Made this for myself as the rest of my family are not sweet-tooth.

INGREDIENTS:
200g Glutinous Flour
Water
Color
Palm Sugar
Coconut - add pinch of salt
METHOD:
1. Mix water & color into glutinous flour until soft dough is form.
Take a small portion & flat it into a small round shape.
Place a small piece of palm sugar & wrap it into a ball shape of a marble size.
2. Boil 3/4 full of water in a pot.
Boil Buah Melaka until they float.
Roll onto coconut.
3. Do not consume while they are hot as the melted palm sugar in the middle is too hot to be consumed right away.

assalamulaikum kak, buah melaka nie sama dgn puteri mandi ke?
ReplyDeleteWsalam. Sama tapi tak serupa. Adunan tepung nya sama tapi cara berbeza sedikit. Puteri mandi bentuk leper, takda inti & di gaulkan dgn kelapa manis yg lembab.
