Roti Doraemon

Fried buns filled with Ikan Bilis Sambal & a slice of cucumber. The size is so cute... slightly bigger than a diameter of cucumber.

Ini sebenar nya menu kelmarin tapi kelmarin update berderet2, tak larat dah asyik mengadap pc jer, kang anak tecik kemana, abah dia ke mana...heheeee.

Enjoy the photos first, I will update the recipe later. Just returned from visiting friends' blogs, so need to go bed already otherwise will not able to wake-up for Sahoor. Watch out for the recipe as this is a good one! Good nite!

Recipe from MR by Biduri. Original recipe is called Roti Sardin Goreng which filled with sardine & rolled on breadcrumbs prior to frying. I used the dough recipe and modified to become Roti Doraemon. Halal ya Biduri, TQ.

(Makes 10 buns)
140ml Water
200g Plain Flour
20g Sugar
1/1 tsp Salt
1 tsp Instant Yeast
8g Butter

(my own):
1. Mix well all ingredients, except butter.
Add in butter & knead until smooth.
Cover & rest until doubled in size.

2. Punch the dough & knead for 2 minutes.
Divide into 10 balls & place on a generously floured tray (for easy lifting later)
Rest until doubled in size.

3. Heat up oil for deep fry.
Fry the buns until golden (medium-slow fire otherwise you end up with uncooked buns in the centre).
Cool & slice 3/4 way through.
Stuff with cucumber slices & Sambal Ikan Bilis (recipe is here).
