Steamed Chocolate Cake (Kek Coklat Kukus)

The recipe is shared by a FB friend which she inherited from her late mother. She hopes that she can share the recipe with everyone and may her mother soul blessed from this good deed.

The cake turned out very soft and moderately sweet. My hubby & kids liked it so much & half of the cake gone the moment the photographing session was over....LOL (that's the reason why not many photos were snapped). TQ Kak Marina for allowing me to share it with everyone.

  2. Kak Roz,
I once baked an orange cake but the cake turned out unsuccessfuly. Reason? The recipe is in 'cup measurement'. Can you please be kind enough to give me this steamed chocolate cake in 'metric measurement'? I can weigh every ingredient accurately. TQVM

    1. Dear Ngu,
Use metric cup when measuring. All my recipes is using metric cups whenever stated in "cup" - you can buy at baking store or supermarket. It come in a set with 1, 3/4, 1/2, 1/3, 1/4 cups size. Converting directly may not be successful and I advise you to follow the original recipe units.

    1. Baking Powder & Bic soda tak sama function & tak boleh di ganti-pakai. Kalau guna bic soda jer nanti kek tak naik.... sekurang2 nya guna baking powder shj (tapi texture nya lain) - seleok nya guna dua2 lah... ;)

    1. Wsalam. Alamak tak jadi ya... :(
Patut nya kek ni senang sangat, tak tau lah kenapa xjadi sbb Aong tak nampak camna Leeya buat. Bunyi macam tak naik... ada letak BP & BS tak? Sukatan pastikan guna cwn metrik. Air kukusan pastikan betul2 menggelegak sebelum mengukus kek.

    1. Hi Nia. Boleh ajer tapi Along sarankan kurangkan sedikit gula sbb serbuk koko lebih pahit jika anda tak suka kek yg terlalu manis.
