Spaghetti Aglio e Olio with Dried Tomato

This is last week menu but only now I have time to update here. Just a simple menu but wanna update here for my own record. Personally I love to flash back sometimes what I've done in my kitchen.... good to test own appetite when drained out of ideas.

I love dried tomatoes (this time I bought semi-dried tomatoes in olive oil) and adding it to this recipe makes it so very delicious.... I could finish two plates of it easily despite low appetite in fasting month....hehe. I used homemade Spinach Spaghetti per the previous entry and served it with my favourite prestzel sticks  and roasted chicken.

Homemade Spinach Spaghetti & Tagliatelle

Cut and ready to be boiled
Let's make our own spaghetti at home.... I love playing with dough and couldn't resist the temptation when I saw Lina Thomas shared in her facebook. I love the natural color from the spinach and the taste... Making your own fresh spaghetti is a lot cheaper than buying from the store... I did check the price of spinach spaghetti from the store across the road and it costs more than RM20 per box for only 250g... This recipe costs less than RM5 and it gives you about 1kg of spaghetti.... It is not only cheaper making it yourself but most of all the joy of making it and getting what you want!

I made half batch into spaghetti and the remaining as tagliatelle.... Each portion is just nice for table of three here.

Inilah rupa spinach kalau ada yg tak tahu...

By: Roz@HomeKreation

Yields ~1 kg pasta
INGREDIENTS:
2 Eggs* - lightly beaten with fork
1 bunch Spinach* - blend (* mix and measure 190ml)
500g Flour
1 tbsp Olive Oil

METHOD:
1. Mix all ingredients and knead until smooth.
The dough should be very firm.
2. Divide the dough into 5 balls and roll each flat before cutting with pasta machine.
3. Boil water + salt + olive oil.
Boil spaghetti/tagliatelle about 5 minutes until al dente.
Strain excess water and mix with 1 tbsp olive oil to prevent sticking.
4. Serve with your favourite sauce.

BAHASA MALAYSIA VERSION
Bihun goreng yang warna putih ni orang panggil Bihun Goreng Singapore.... tak tau lah camna leh dapat nama tu. Walau pun warna nya pucat, dari segi rasa tetap sedap berperisa.... pedas2 lada hitam dan mewah dgn sayuran, ayam & udang.... sendiri masak mestilah kena dengan selera kan.... hehe. Ini menu minggu lepas tapi tak sempat nak berblogging sebab hari2 balik kerja lewat dan bila dah selesai kerja rumah, badan dah tak berdaya nak update blog. Terpaksa lah tunggu hujung minggu pula baru dapat nak update.
