Baked Macaroni Cheese

This was served during the Women Gathering yesterday. I used to cook this when I was a student because it is so easy & quick.

INGREDIENTS:
250g Macaroni - boiled until tender al-dente 
50g Butter
50g Flour
700ml Milk
1tsp Mustard Powder
250g Cheddar Cheese - grated
Cooked chicken meat, mushroom, sausages
Salt & Pepper

METHOD:
1. Melt butter in saucepan, stir in flour & cook for 1 minute.
Remove from heat & stir in milk.
Boil for abut 2 minutes.
Add mustard, salt & pepper and then chicken, sausages and mushroom.
Stir in half of the grated cheese.
Remove from heat & stir in Macaroni & mix well.

2. Transfer the mixture into an ovenproof dish & sprinkle with remaining cheese and breadcrumbs.
Grill until top is golden.

  1. kalau boleh macaroni tu jaganlah sehingga tender,nanti bila kita baked in oven,macaroni2 akan cary on cooking.(seelok-eloknya al dente sudahlah,supaya ia tidak over cooked.that is my sugestion.

  2. Zamri, yes chef you are right. I also do not like my pasta too soft. Resipi ni cuma guna grill (heat atas shj), just utk cairkan cheese & brown the top so pasta tu tak ler telebih masak sbb sekejap jer masuk oven tu. Thanks for the comment.
