Ikan Masak Kunyit (Fish in Creamy Turmeric Sauce)

 
Not feeling well lately and not much appetite.... hence this simple dish.

INGREDIENTS:
1-2 pc Fish slices - cut to small pieces 
4 Shallots*
1 clove Garlic*
1 Green Chili*
1 Red Chili*
Some Chili Padi*
2" Turmeric Root* (* blend) 
1 Lemongrass - bruised 
1 Turmeric Leaf - sliced thinly 
1/2 cup Coconut Milk
1 pc Dried Tamarind
Salt

METHOD:
1. Heat up some oil & stir fry blended ingredients until fragrant.
Add in coconut milk, fish & the rest of ingredients.
Cover & cook on small fire until fish is cooked.
Open the cover & cook until gravy is thick.
Stir occasionally.

2. Serve with white rice.

BAHASA MALAYSIA VERSION
Lauk simple2 jer, kot2 ler sape2 tingin nak cuba... tuan rumah tgh tak berape nak berselera makan sbb tgh tak berape sihat.

BAHAN2:
1-2 ketul Ikan Isi - potong kecil
4 ulas Bwg Merah*
1 ulas Bwg Putih*
1 biji Cili Merah*
1 biji Cili Hijau*
Sedikit Cili Padi*
2" Kunyit Hidup* (* blend) 
1 btg Serai - di ketuk
1 helai Daun Kunyit - hiris nipis
1/2 cwn Santan
1 Asam Keping
Garam

CARA2:
1. Panaskan minyak & tumis bhn2 yg di blend sehingga wangi.
Masukkan santan, ikan & kesemua bahan2 lain.
Tutup & masak dgn api kecil sehingga ikan masak.
Buka tutup & masak sehingga kuah pekat.
Kacau sekali-sekala.

2. Hidangkan dgn nasi putih.

    Ikan Msk kunyit tuh mcm ala2 msk rendang pun..Cam sedap jer..almaklum my boy suka lauk kering2 begini. Nk masuk list dulu ah.

  8. Hi Roz, I was wondering where the lovely scent of kunyit was coming from. Ahhhh, from your kitchen.
    I love this.....I can imagine the fantastic scent when you put it on the dinner table....
    I think you sure cook extra rice too, ha ha.
