Cempedak Fritters

Cempedak is pronounced as "chem-pe-dak" looks like jackfruit but has different smell and aroma. Apart from being eaten raw, it is also suitable for making all sort of kuih but I would go for just fritters!

We bought the Cempedak in Sibu on the way home from kampung (only RM3/kg) and it has really thick flesh with big pulps but not many pulps found in the huge Cempedak. It was very sweet and tasty & wished I bought more!

See the thick & bright orange pulp...
The batter for fritters was posted earlier here. Deseed the Cempedak before dipping into the batter & deep fry until golden.

BAHASA MALAYSIA VERSION
Amboooi... sedap sungguh cempedak ni, rugi beli sebiji jek waktu balik dari kampung minggu lepas.  Dah goreng cempedak ni banyak hari lepas tapi tak sempat nak update blog, jadi semua dah licin by now.

Along goreng dengan tepung resepi HaSue, memang sesuai...! Nak tengok respi, klik kat sini.
