Durian Cream Horns

 It is durian season!!! Hubby made a request for pastry with durian cream and at the same time we had Iftar invitation from my sisters. I need to prepare it quickly so got to think of short-cut way for the pastry.... so that's how I ended up with horn pastry (but time taken by hubby looking out for it in next door store was too long that we were late for the iftar...LOL).

Yields: 14-16 pcs
INGREDIENTS:
1 packet Kawanku Puff Pastry
1 cup Non-Dairy Whipping Cream - whip until stiff 
Fresh Durian Pulps - mashed 

METHOD:
1. Roll puff pastry as thin as you can into one piece rectangle shape.
Cut them into 3/4" strips.
Brush surface with water and roll one strip around a cream horn mold.
Roll the rest of the strips and arrange them in a baking tray.
(Brush top with milk or beaten egg - optional)
2. Bake 190C for abt 20 minutes until done.
Rest for 5 minutes before removing the pastry from the molds.
Cool the cream horn casings before start filling.
3.  Mix cream and mashed durian pulps.
Pipe the filling into the casings and serve....!

 Bagi peminat durian, kuih ni memang best.... pastry yg rapuh rangup.... inti yg sejuk smooth & harum durian.... walaaaa.... Bagi yg tak pandai nak buat pastri pun boleh buat ni.... senang jer kalau guna frozen puff pastry. Kalau ada tetamu nak datang, boleh lah buat ni ya tentu gembira hati tetamu.

Bilangan: 14-16 ketul
BAHAN2:
1 bungkus Kawanku Puff Pastry
1 cwn Non-dairy Whipping Cream - pukul sehingga kental
Isi Durian - hancurkan

CARA2:
1. Gelek puff pastry sehingga nipis empat segi besar.
Potong jejalur 3/4" lebar.
Berus permukaan dgn sedikit air (jangan banyak nanti pastry tak rangup) dan lilit ke acuan cream horns.
Balut acuan dgn kesemua jejalur dan susun dlm dulang pembakar.
(Sapu permukaan dgn susu atau telur tapi optional)
2. Bakar 190C selama 20 min atau sehingga garing.
Rihatkan 5 min sebelum di cabut pastri dari acuan.
Sejukkan sepenuh nya sebelum di letak inti.
3. Campurkan cream dgn isi durian dan paipkan ke dlm pastri.
Boleh ngap!
